This lesson was used in an Introduction to Electronics course at a community college which may include both high school and college students.
· The 3D model allows the student to examine the various physical components in the lesson closely. The instructional materials go over the fundamentals of how the transformer works.
· The lesson includes opportunities for the viewer to self-assess.
1) Identify an industrial power transformer.
2) Describe the transformer's hardware, including the transformer tank, cooling fan, high voltage brushing, ladder, safety warning sign and panel, and heat sink casing.
