Lesson Description:

This lesson was used in a Physiology class at a community college to help students integrate the physiological processes of different body systems with the equipment they may be using in a hospital as future nurses.

  •  This 360 lesson provides an augmented reality experience for the students to examine an actual hospital room and the typical equipment for a diabetic/cardiac patient scenario. The lesson addresses several body systems that work in a patient, including cardiovascular, urinary, muscular, and overall homeostasis. These body processes were associated with specific equipment that included EKG, IV fluid, telemetry, and oxygen)

  • The lesson includes opportunities for the viewer to self-assess.

Lesson Objectives:

1)   Identify equipment needed to monitor or assist in patient care in a hospital setting,

2)   Integrate physiological processes of different body systems with equipment, and

3)   Apply physiology to a clinical scenario case study.

This lesson exemplifies a 360 and/or immersive learning experience that can be created using EON-XR.
